May 16, 2011 - Last Saturday, another beautiful spring day, only Frans De Medts and David Verstappen were present. The other two volunteers pulled out, both on different grounds.
Eventually that wasn't a big deal at all, since there was only a small cubic meter of Argex available to fill the first bags.
About two hours later, we ran out of Argex. By then we had filled and placed 23 bags. Because of the expecting rain they were covered with plastic to protect them and after that we were unemployed, so to speak.
However, next week a supply of 6 cubic meter will be delivered and then we really can start working. We hope a number of volunteers will be present then so we can get a move on.
Our previous experience with the filling of the bags did teach us that the work will speed up more quickly if enough people lend us a helping hand.
We look forward to the real start of the works.
Next weekend and the next two weeks there will be enough work for volunteers, both on weekdays and weekends. If you want to help, sign up through the registration form.
