April 18th, 2011 - The emergence at the first edition of "Earthship Belgium comes to you" was rather limited.
Perhaps the good weather played a role or that the Antwerp Ten Miles took place. The fact is that the absentees were wrong.
Our chairman gave an interested audience a fascinating discussion on all aspects of earthships. Previously there was a brief explanation of Earthship Belgium by our vice-chaitman David, followed by viewing the film Earthship 101. Then came the first part of the lecture.

Over coffee, we were inundated with questions by the participants. Some of them intend to build an earthship and were particularly interested in the possibilities that EEBU could give them.
The second part of the lecture elaborated on the systems used in an earthship and the evolution these systems had been through since the first prototypes in the seventies of last century.
Before we knew it was 17 hours and we had to finish. Fortunately, the manager of the Ecohouse was willing to be flexible and we got the chance to completely finish the lecture.

Around 17.30 hours the participants could return home satisfied. Their knowledge about earthships and what it entails had been updated or they had had a positive first encounter with the phenomenon earthship.
We want to thank the participants for their attendance and the feedback and questions we received from them. Hopefully next time more people show up, it's definitely worth it.
