Lecture at Elcker-Ik

Cat-ActiesMarch 31th, 2011 - On March 28th Flory, our secretary, gave a lecture on earthships at Elcker-ick in Antwerp. There attended about 40 persons, which certainly can be called a success.

It was the first time Flory gave a lecture and she also had the misfortune the laptop present could not display her presentation.

In good spirits she then improvised while David, our honorary chairman, was looking for a laptop on which the needed software was installed. After half an hour improvisation, in which Flory, by her inexperience, sometimes drifted a bit of from the essence of the lecture, the presentation could really take off.

Flory took the lead again and did her best to give explanations to the slides. The lecture at times was more on personal visions and historical considerations, but Flory could still retain the interest of the people.

David gave a brief overview of the characteristics of Earthships, , using a different presentation, especially on the points that were not adequately explained.

We are grateful that Flory wanted to give the lecture and hope that some people have now a good view on what eartships are. We also thank all participants for the patience they have shown with the problems at the beginning of the lecture.
