July 21, 2010 - Last month, there have been quite a few contacts with various people in other parts of Europe.
We note in these contacts in Europe that there is still much lack of knowledge and experience. People build from books or articles and videos from the Internet. They often seek in vain for answers to the questions they have. We also see that the obstacles in some countries, are similar or even identical.
Some more cooperation at European level is desirable in our view. Why inveng the wheel twice if cooperation is feasible? This can be in the form of sharing knowledge, experience, research, advice or even the actual building itself. This allows for any legal obstacles to be quickly remedied. Also the necessary knowledge and experience can be transferred to local interested people, so that it can be transmitted again.

Beginning of the fourth row - Skattungbyn (Sweden)
Our expedition to Sweden is a step towards such cooperation. It gives us the opportunity to building experience, knowledge exchange and to meet fellow earthshippers in Sweden.
For a project in Portugal, we have pledged our cooperation in the form of thinking along, providing information, project planning where appropriate and possible help build with a team. In terms of licensing, it looks good. The Earthship concept is enthusiastically received by the local government . We await further developments.
Meanwhile, there are also contacts with a person who might start building in Greece by the end of the summer. He is still figuring out how to get the tires. And then there was contact with an Italian who has a complete project ready to build in Croatia.
