Cat-ActiesJune 12, 2010 - Yesterday David Verstappen had a meeting with Kristof Buermans (of the Youth Service Hoboken, Antwerp).

The Youth Service Hoboken , together with the Scheld'apen, want to build an Earthship. Some interesting sites as on top or in the walls of an ancient fort are considered. It would be an information point for their organizations and possibly perform other functions.

They also want to cooperate with an international exchange program for volunteers (JINT). Initially, perhaps with a Portuguese organization because a major Earthship project is in the pipeline in Portugal. This project is led by a lady in Amsterdam (Tita), which Kristof will meet one of these days.

He is hopeful that the city council will approve their plans and financings. As soon as we know more an update will follow.

EEBU is the place where volunteers can find earthship projects and projectowners can find volunteers. But it is more. It is about building a new way of living based on taking back control, sharing and helping each other making it become reality for all involved.
